Ben was very nice and responsible, addressing all our concerns and completing the full cleaning from both sides of the vent. While our experience started off rocky, the follow-up service from Cal Duct Cleaning, especially with Ben’s help, left us feeling more satisfied. We appreciate their effort to make things right. I recently scheduled a dryer vent cleaning service with Cal Duct Cleaning. The response was prompt, and we were able to book an appointment for the very next day. The price advertised online was $149, but when the team arrived, they informed us that because our dryer is stacked on top of the washer, the cost would actually be $299. We had received quotes from other companies, and they only charged $199 for stacked dryers, so we decided not to proceed with Cal Duct Cleaning. However, they quickly came back and offered to do the job for the original $149. I assumed this meant the full service, which should include cleaning the vent from both sides of the tube, both outside and the dryer side. Unfortunately, I wasn’t home during the cleaning, and later I found out from my husband that they only cleaned the vent from the outside. Despite my husband tipping generously, the service provided was incomplete. If they weren’t going to clean the dryer side, why quote us $299 in the first place? This experience felt dishonest, and we will be switching to another service company in the future.”
“Called them for a routine dryer vent and duct cleaning and after having issues with the vents & ducts on the first visit they did a deeper inspection on the second visit and found a ton of issues with the vents and ducts (multiple holes, broken supports in the crawl space, rust on them, dirt and debris in them, etc.). They came back for a 6 hour third visit to patch holes, replace parts of the vent & ducts, add new insulation, add new supports, and clean out the dryer vent fully (which actually has its outlet accessible only from our neighbor's yard!). Yes, it was way more work and hassle than we had first expected. And yes, it was way more expensive than we first expected. But it was all work that we needed to get done and now our dryer actually works and our A/C is more efficient! During the whole process Cal Duct was communicative and worked with us on scheduling and was clear on pricing as new work got added. Also, Shawn, who came out all 3 times to do our work, was an amazing person who did a ton of work for us, did a great job, was friendly and knowledgable and very communicative.”
